At 9:30 on the morning of Saturday, July 4th, CSHA members will gather in the south St. Teresa's parking lot (entrance on 57th St.) to finish decorating our kiddos' wheeled vehicles (bikes, trikes, scooters, strollers, and whatnot), share some treats, sing The Star Spangled Banner, then parade in grand patriotic style around the St. Teresa's block. (We'll take a vote whether a mini-parade within the confines of the parking lot will be held for the younger kids.)
We're looking forward to parading with you -- pets included!
Contact Board Member Dan Altnether with questions or to volunteer!
This event is for CSHA members who are current on their dues. Thanks for your support of the events which make our neighborhood such a great place to live!
KCPS held a community meeting on Saturday, June 27th, to share three proposals for possible reuse/redevelopment of the Bryant Elementary property. You can view the three presentations in their entirety HERE. After you do that, KCPS has asked that the community share our thoughts about the proposals via their survey form as soon as possible. They will use the responses received to determine whether to hold more community meetings & otherwise how to move forward. The survey will be available until July 31.
For more information, please contact KCPS at repurposing@kcpublicschools.org.
