As it's a primary election, voters will need to declare at check-in whether you want a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or "issues only" ballot.  There are some very important non-party-specific items on the ballot!  

Election Polls are Open 6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

See your sample ballot at the KC Election Board's website.   Note that you can vote at any poll in Kansas City within Jackson County if you vote on the Ballot Marking Device. If you’d prefer a pre-printed paper ballot, you will have to vote at your assigned home poll location, which you can find on the Voter Lookup tool or on the Voter Notification Card that is mailed out prior to every election.

Remember:

• Acceptable forms of ID are: Missouri driver's license, Military ID, U.S. Passport, and other forms of ID issued by the United States or Missouri governments that are not expired (NOTE: expired Photo IDs are valid IF they are expired after 11/5/24).

• If you requested a mail-in ballot but didn't quite get it in the mail back to KCEB, you can bring it to a poll on 8/4, where it will be cancelled and you can vote in person.  

• Certain accessibility devices are available to those who may need assistance with voting (tactile keypads, sip-and-puff accessories, headphones, etc.).  Voters may need to go to KCEB headquarters to use such equipment; check out this brochure and contact KCEB with questions.  

You can also still easily check your voter registration status at the KCEB's website.  If you're not registered, you won't be able to vote on 8/4, but get it done so you can vote in November!
